The Common Sense New Jersey Story
Common Sense New Jersey is a 501(c)(3) that was founded to fund, empower, and advocate for New Jersey’s Common Sense Majority to create positive change in the Garden State.
Our Founder and President Emeritus, Bill Spadea, believed in the power of citizens’ voices, speaking with frank common sense on issues of the day, to shape decisions being made at the highest level. He also saw many New Jerseyans looking for places to invest in that future to yield real change. He also saw many New Jerseyans looking for places to invest in that future to yield real change.
Today, we’re building on his vision.
New Jersey is continuing to reel from the impacts of COVID-19 lockdowns, economic woes, high taxes, mental health crisis, skyrocketing cost of living, and tears in our social fabric. The need for common sense voices and smart solutions is greater than ever. Through the investment and advocacy of Common Sense New Jersey, the voice of New Jersey’s Common Sense Majority is growing by the day.
We’re just getting started.
Our Mission
Common Sense New Jersey exists to reshape a brighter future for New Jersey through empowering our Common Sense Majority.

Bill Spadea
Founder, President Emeritus
In 2020 and 2021, Bill Spadea stood strong against ‘Covid’ mandates advocating for opening up businesses and schools and rejecting the harmful policies resulting from over-zealous politicians and the fear-mongering corporate media. His strength in the face of overwhelming opposition resulted in dramatic increases in market share and revenue for his show and company. Today he remains among the most well known and popular media hosts in New Jersey with more than a million listeners. His audience is nearly equally divided among Democrat, Republican and Independent voters. He is currently a candidate for Governor of New Jersey in 2025. In 2019 Spadea launched a film production company and also founded the Common Sense Club which has more than 140,000 members, and Common Sense New Jersey. Before getting into media television and radio, Spadea was an executive in the real estate industry for 18 years, coaching, recruiting and selling and is still a licensed broker in several states. In 1991, he graduated with a B.A. from Boston University and received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps Reserves after serving eight years.
